How it works

Same four steps for every event, whichever one you enter.

Register & pay

Pick your event, fill in your details, pay the entry fee. Your spot locks in once payment clears.

Get your access code

15 minutes before kickoff, drop into #tournament-checkin on Discord for your event's matchmaking key or island code.

Play your match

Join using your key or code, and play. Format depends on the event you entered.

Get paid

Placement decides the payout — top finishers earn cash even without the outright win.

How the prize pools work

Same rule for all three events — each one is scored on its own.

Each event has its own pool, worked out from its own entries — one event filling up doesn't affect another's prize money. 25 or more paid entries into an event = R500 pool, guaranteed. Fewer than 25 and the pool equals 100% of entries collected for that event. On Creative Duos, each player counts as one entry (a team paying R40 counts as two). Final totals are locked in and pinned in Discord once each event's registration closes.

Rules, in short

The full rulebook covers everything — this is what matters most on match day, across all three events.

One account, one entry. Playing on someone else's account gets both of you disqualified.
Teaming is only allowed if you registered as a pair for Creative Duos — everywhere else, it's solo/1v1 and teaming disqualifies both players involved.
Be on time. Check in 15 minutes before kickoff for your matchmaking key or island code. Late joiners can't enter once a match/bracket starts.
Under 18? A parent or guardian needs to confirm your entry — you'll be asked for their details when you register.
Disconnects within the first 60 seconds get reviewed by a mod — message #tournament-support immediately. No guaranteed replay after that.
No refunds once an event's bracket/lobby is locked, except if Storm Zone cancels that event.

Questions

Can I enter more than one of the three events?

Yes — each event is fully separate, with its own entry fee, its own bracket, and its own prize pool. Enter one, two, or all three.

I don't have a gaming PC or console — can I still play?

Yes. Play through GeForce NOW using your own free or paid NVIDIA account, linked to your Epic account ahead of time so there's no setup delay on the day. For the Reload event, make sure your matchmaking region matches the lobby; for 1v1 and Creative Duos, you'll just join using the island code — no region matching needed there.

I'm under 18 — can I enter?

Yes, with a parent or guardian's consent. You'll be asked for their name and email during registration, and any cash prize you win will be paid out to them unless you provide proof of guardian consent otherwise.

How does registration work for Creative Duos?

One player registers for the whole team — you'll fill in your own details plus your teammate's, and pay R40 to cover both entries in one go. Make sure your teammate knows you're registering on their behalf before you submit.

What happens if I disconnect mid-match?

Disconnects within the first 60 seconds are reviewed case by case — message a mod in #tournament-support right away. There's no guaranteed replay once a match is properly underway.

How and when do I get paid if I place?

Once an event's final prize pool is locked in after its registration closes, payouts are confirmed and sent out following the match — placement decides the payout, so you don't need the outright win to earn something.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are available if Storm Zone cancels or postpones an event, or if you were charged twice by mistake. Once that event's bracket/lobby is locked, entries are final — see the full refund policy for details.
